About Being Human Foundation

Discover who we are, what drives us, and how we are transforming lives across Nigeria one community at a time.

BHFLP Mission
2024 Founded

Charity is a bridge — we build it.

The Being Human Foundation for the Less Privileged (BHFLP) was founded in February 2024 with a singular, burning conviction: that every human life has infinite worth, and that those born into hardship deserve the same dignity and opportunity as anyone else.

We believe charity is more than giving — it is a bridge between those with resources and those in need. Through that bridge flows education, healthcare, food, economic empowerment, and hope.

Since our founding, we have reached thousands of people across multiple states — providing emergency relief to flood victims, empowering women with solar energy, feeding communities during Ramadan, partnering with organisations to deepen impact, and much more.

Our Core Values

Compassion Without Borders

We see every person in need — regardless of tribe, religion, or background — as equally deserving of dignity, care, and support.

Integrity & Transparency

Every naira donated is accounted for. We operate with full transparency in all our programmes, partnerships, and financial stewardship.

Sustainable Impact

We don't just address immediate needs — we invest in solutions that give communities the tools to thrive long after we leave.

Community-Led Action

The people we serve are not beneficiaries — they are partners. We listen, learn, and act alongside the communities we support.

Women at the Centre

We believe empowering women is the single most powerful lever for community transformation. Their dignity and economic agency are non-negotiable.

Brotherhood & Solidarity

In times of crisis, BHFLP calls the nation to act as one family. Shared humanity is our founding principle and our daily practice.

Aims & Objectives

Everything we do is anchored in a clear set of goals designed to create lasting, dignified change for the most vulnerable in our communities.

01
Support and empower underprivileged individuals, ensuring access to basic needs, quality education, healthcare, and economic opportunities.
02
Create safe, nurturing environments for orphans and vulnerable children where they can thrive and achieve their fullest potential.
03
Nurture entrepreneurial talent among the less privileged through resources, skills training, and mentorship.
04
Bridge the educational gap by providing quality learning opportunities to those deprived of formal education.
05
Ensure everyone, regardless of socio-economic background, has access to essential healthcare services and health knowledge.
06
Prevent and raise awareness about Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV), providing support to survivors and advocating for stronger protective policies.
07
Implement food distribution and feeding programmes to combat hunger and malnutrition among vulnerable groups — including seasonal programmes such as Ramadan feeding.
08
Empower women and communities with renewable energy — particularly solar — to reduce energy poverty and enable sustainable livelihoods.
