Our founder Engr. Dr. Amb. Khadija Kuburat Ibrahim led the dedicated team at Being Human for the Less Privileged (BHFLP) to Mokwa, Niger State where we distributed essential relief materials such as raw food,clothes, toiletries and cash to the flood victims and walked around the most affected areas. The devastation we witnessed was heart-wrenching, but the resilience and strength of the communities were truly inspiring. After interacting with the flood victims and sharing the palliatives for them, they proceeded to the Mokwa palace to commiserate with the Ndalile of Mokwa, Lile Muhammad Shaba Aliyu, and presented to him a gift And finally proceeded to Bida to commiserate with HRH, Etsu Nupe Dr.Yahya Abubakar CFR which he welcomed them with open arms and was happy to recieve them. The launch event was held at the National Mosque Multipurpose Hall, FCT ABUJA, on the 7th of February, 2025. It was attended by dignitaries, royal fathers, and philanthropists. In her opening speech, Eng. Dr. Kahdija Ibrahim, Founder/Executive Director of BHFLP, emphasized the organization's mission to provide a platform for the less privileged to thrive. She expressed her gratitude to Almighty Allah, her family, and loved ones for their unwavering support. The event was graced by the presence of Emir of kano, HRH Aminu Ado Bayero, His Eminence Muhammadu Sa'ad Abubakar CFR, Sultan of Sokoto, who donated the National Mosque Multipurpose Hall for the launch event was heavily represented by Sadaukin Sokoto, Her Excellency Aisha Atiku Bagudu, Chairperson/Executive Director of Mallpai Foundation, was also in attendance as the mother of the day. The event was a resounding success, graced by an impressive array of other dignitaries. The guest list included renowned Islamic scholar Shaykh Khalid Yasin from the USA, known for his thought-provoking lectures on Islam and his ability to clarify misconceptions about faith and humanity. Other esteemed guests included the former Governor of Niger State, Dr. Muazu Babangida Aliyu. The event also welcomed the Grand Mufti of Ilorin, Dr. Onoja; Principal of PTI, Mallami Ubandoma, Hon.Shamsudeen Sani,Dr. Sadiq Suleiman Abdullahi, Coordinating Trustee of Bilaad Development Trust. ED One17 Capital Limited Alhaji Abdullahi umar , Engr Ibrahim Usman,President of Nigeria Saudi Chambers of commerce,industry and agriculture, Professor Musa Kundiri who represented Dr Mohammed Kyari Dikwa and so many more. The devastation we witnessed was heart-wrenching, but the resilience and strength of the communities were truly inspiring. We also visited the Shehu of borno Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai El-Kanemi to commiserate with him in his palace and then went to the Borno state government house to also commiserate with the Executive Governor of Borno State His Excellency Babagana Umara Zulum where we presented more than 1,000 packages of palliatives and a token of 1 million naira to support the state's recovery efforts. This gesture symbolizes our commitment to standing with the people of Maiduguri during these challenging times. To all the victims, know that they are not alone.
